Questions about home removals
How much does a home move cost in Sydney?
Truck time is priced per 30 minutes: $55 for the compact truck, $60 for the medium truck with movers, and $80 for the large truck with movers. The written quote then covers access, packing, and the distance between the two addresses, so the total is agreed before moving day.
Do I have to pack before the removalists arrive?
No. You can pack clothes and paper yourself and leave kitchens, glass, and art to BARI, or have packing and unpacking done in full or in part. Tell your coordinator which you prefer and it goes on the written quote.
Can you move an apartment with a lift or limited parking?
Yes. Lift bookings, loading zones, parking, stairs, and long carries are planned up front and written into the quote, so they are not discovered at the door.
Is my furniture covered while it is being moved?
BARI is fully insured, with cover for goods in transit and public liability. Pieces such as sofas, art, marble, and glass are wrapped for what they are, and furniture is placed in the room it belongs in at the new home.
